Haridwar is the start point of the Char Dham Yatra, like the entry way to the Home of Gods (Hari + Dwar = God + Gate, translates as “Gateway to the God’s”).

Haridwar has a moderate weather throughout the year.
- October – February : Weather is pleasant, a good time to go if you are not fond of Indian Summers
- July – October: Kanwar Mela time
- May – July: Char Dham Yatra pilgrims

This is my second visit to Haridwar. My first trip here was at the age of 16, with my parents. The place created a everlasting impression on my mind even then.
