How to reach here?
Malvan is very well connected by road and rail with the other cities. It is at a distance of 4 hrs from Goa. If one is driving to Goa, then Tarkarli is the stop over for water sports.
- By air – the closest airport is Sindhudurg airport.
- By train – Tarkarli does not have a railway station of its own but travellers can book their tickets till Kudal railway station, which is about 45 km away.
- By road – National highway NH66 is the route to Tarkarli. Another laid back but scenic route is using state highway MH SH4 (a longer but scenic coastal).
Best time to visit
Konkan can be visited any time of the year. As it is located on the coast, it has a moderate climate. Winters should be preferred if in case you are planning to be out in the sun the whole day. Summer sun can be really hot.

What and Where to eat?
All along the coast, sea food is very popular. Fresh salt water fish is quite popular. Since we are vegeterians, I can not give you more details about the sea food.
