Universal Studios and Disney World are two parks that resonate totally with all age groups and we are looking forward to this visit. We have 2 kids ages 11 and 13, and parents aged 62 and 65, and of course the two of us. So it was a challenge for us, to plan the Orlando trip such that all 6 can have a Gala time. Trust me, Orlando theme parks have a lot to offer for us and we leave Florida with contentment in our hearts.

This is the second visit to the Orlando theme parks for me and now the third and maybe the last one would be with my grandkids. For details on how to reach Orlando, visit the DISNEYWORLD page.

There are 3 theme parks by Universal. We have booked tickets for 2 parks “Universal Studios” and “Islands of adventure”. Both of them are unique in their own way and each ride is best. There are a few which the kids have even experience twice. We have plans for a water park in San Diego, hence do not opt for “Volcano Bay” water park here.

An important Tip – We have bought a park-to-park ticket which has the flexibility to visit both the Universal Studios and Islands of adventure with exclusive access to the Hogwarts Express. This works the best.

Since the kids are little, our focus is more thrilling rides, and our overactive boys ensure that their parents and grandparents accompany them on every ride. They do not leave a choice for us, they have the entire schedule lined up for us and all we do is follow them. Many a time it has occurred that I have participated in rides which I would have refused if asked beforehand. I have tachophobia (fear of speed) and Acrophobia (fear of heights). So, in most of the rides, my eyes are shut and mentally reciting a prayer, and they open only after a safe and successful landing.

Not be missed – Minions, Superman, Spiderman, Hogwarts, Harry Potter, Transformers, Shrek.. and many more.

Just like Walt Disney Resorts, Universal Studios too have a variety of resorts in their park. But we chose to stay outside the park for 2 nights.

Check out our DISNEYWORLD experience and our stay in their resorts.
